Treely is always one of my favorite subjects to photograph! And this session was no exception! We had a great location, great lighting, and adding a cute puppy made this session one of my favorites!
Micaela & Jacob’s wedding was filled with more emotion than any other wedding I have photographed! And the details all were a big part in showing not only their love, but the love they have for their friends and families! These details included special gifts and letters to each other; hand embroidered handkerchiefs given by the bride to her parents, and a special “Something Blue” which was the blue GTO given to Micaela by her grandfather before he passed away. Micaela had a “first look” ceremony with not only her father, but her two grandmothers and her bridesmaids. The Barn at Triple J Farm in Roan Mountain, TN was the perfect… Keep Reading
There is no better place to elope than in the mountains of Western North Carolina! Kristen and Joe decided to get married at a little chapel in Blowing Rock. Their elopement package actually included photographs of the ceremony, but Kristen wanted more than the chapel could offer. She contacted me about doing a two hour pre-elopement session and I jumped on the opportunity! Two whole hours with a beautiful bride and groom and no distractions or timelines? It was perfect! Kristen was dressed in a gorgeous boho-chic wedding dress with a jeweled headpiece and a bouquet she put together herself. The clouds rolled in as we started the session, but… Keep Reading
I met the Sutton family when they asked me to do their portraits at the vacation home they were renting in Boone, NC. As I walked through the door, I was greeted by the cutest little blonde girl who wrapped her arms around my leg and gave me a big hug. I knew then, this was going to be a fun session! These kids were a blast, as you can tell by some of these photos. The home was gorgeous with a spectacular view but the fog rolled in about the time our session started. The early fall trees made for a perfect backdrop instead.
Savannah and Dylan’s engagement session was on what should have been a cold November day. What did we get instead? Absolutely beautiful, seasonably warm weather! We started their session beside the Linville River and then finished up at the Linville Falls Winery with some great shots in the Christmas trees. I had a blast with these two and loved how sweet their interaction with each other was. It’s so obvious that they are crazy about each other. So how did these two meet and become engaged? That’s better told through their own words! How We Met Her Version: June of 2015 I started an internship and ended up… Keep Reading
Although this session actually took place in October, the photos were a gift to their children and I couldn’t share these images until after the holidays. Neal and Lucy are not only a special couple, they are family! Neal’s father, Uncle Frank, was my Daddy’s brother. And Lucy might as well be my blood relative, because she has been a part of this family for as long as I can remember. We actually did their photo session on the 40th anniversary of their first date! And what a perfect location to do the photos at their farm, which was Lucy’s family’s farm. I had a blast touring the farm and I’m glad I could photograph them there. I hope their children treasure these… Keep Reading
2016 was another great year full of awesome couples, glamorous brides, loving families, precious babies and seniors ready to take on the world!! It was year of great ups! I met so many brides and grooms with so much love for each other and families who were full of joy just to be together. It was also a year of some downs. I photographed a session for a family after they found out the father had cancer and didn’t have long to live. He died shortly after. I was so honored that they chose me for this special session and I’m thankful I had the opportunity to meet David before he passed. I want to thank… Keep Reading
When I found out the daughter of a dear friend was getting married, I couldn’t wait to shoot their engagement session! Micaela is not only gorgeous, with beautiful red, curly hair and amazing blue eyes, but she is also such a sweet old soul with a heart of gold. When I met Jacob at the session, I could tell he was also and a perfect match for Micaela. You could tell the way he looked at her, that he had found his true love. After photographing at a couple of locations Banner Elk, we finished on top of the mountain with a beautiful sunset and a fantastic view. Micaela and… Keep Reading
Amber and Ethan’s wedding day couldn’t have been any more perfect! It was a beautiful location! The Overlook Barn is a 6,500+ square foot barn that is perched atop Beech Mountain, NC. The views from the venue are spectacular! The weather was a typical gorgeous summer day with a brilliant blue sky. I have know both families for many years and was so honored they chose me to photograph their wedding. They said their vows with the Blue Ridge Mountains providing the backdrop. The best part of this wedding, though, was not the beauty, but the emotions! The love these two have for each other could not be contained! And the love their families and… Keep Reading
Blaine is always one of my favorites to photograph. How can anyone resist his sweet personality and those pretty blue eyes! The river at the Daniel Boon Campground made for a beautiful backdrop. The love for MoonPies is a tradition that was passed down from Blaine’s great papaw. And it looks like Blaine will definitely be keeping that tradition going!
